  • Experience with web frameworks (Angular, JSF)
  • Experience developing with PL/SQL

Position Summary

Vana Solutions is seeking an Software Change/Testing Automation Specialist. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Develop automation and deployment libraries and tools
  • Develop and implement an automated test strategy focused on achieving test results
  • Design, develop and maintain automated component and system tests to increase coverage
  • Ensure automation environments run smoothly and ensure all tests pass, or highlight any regressions
  • Work effectively within the agile team to define testable user stories and acceptance criteria and to resolve any defects that may arise
  • Prepare and present test reports to include status and coverage
  • Work closely with users to verify requirements and software acceptance
  • Prepare and generate technical documentation pertinent to the software testing
  • Create, maintain, and administer the project environment, including versioning, backup, archiving, and management of user access rights
  • Deployment of the application through automatic build and deployment process
  • Actively collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and define test cases
  • Document and maintain manual test cases within the JIRA system
  • Respond to change including adding or adding test cases
  • Deployment of the application through automatic build and deployment process
  • Assists in developing training materials and provide training through various forms of delivery (Class CBTs, Manuals)


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Testing principles.
  • Proven ability to accurately test, evaluate and report results
  • Knowledge in Agile development/test approaches and techniques, including test driven development
  • Experience with testing automation tools such as Selenium, Protractor, etc. is a plus
  • Experience with version control tools (ex. GIT, Subversion) and bug/story tracking tools (ex. Jira)
  • Experience and knowledge of SharePoint a plus
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, team player, positive attitude and enthusiastic
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance
