SBIR Phase III

Vana has focused our investment on the development of technologies on customer challenges to provide decision analysis, support services, and agile Sole Source contracting solutions.

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program was established to encourage small business utilization and innovation. Vana was awarded Phase I and II contracts, which led to the eventual award of our Phase III contract. Vana’s SBIR Phase III contract was established to allow for our customers to have access to a quick and easy contracting solution to pave a path to customer partnership to solve your business challenges with our innovative methodology and technologies.

SBIR Phase III Features & Benefits:

  • Can be used to acquire a wide range of solutions: Product, Production, Services, Research, R&D, Studies & Analysis, Services and Materials
  • Sole Source Award: No J&A required as all competition requirements were met during Phase I and Phase II awards
  • Any Teammates: Large, Small, Universities research & development
  • No Small Business (SB) prime 51% workshare requirements: Phase III contracts are not SB set-asides so no limit on workshare
  • Receive Competition and Women Owned Small Business Credit while still contracting Sole Source: Vana has satisfied competition requirements by competitively winning Phase I and Phase II awards
  • All colors of federal funds can be used (Except SBIR funds)
  • All contracting options are possible: T&M, FFP, Cost Plus, etc.

GSA Professional Services Schedule (PSS)

The Professional Services Schedule (PSS) is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple award schedule, providing direct access to simple or complex fixed-price or labor-hour professional services.

  • Use simplified acquisition procedures to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using either your agency’s solicitation system or GSA’s eBuy solicitation system, or issue an RFQ directly to contractors using your agency’s procedures.
  • Allow unique Contractor Team Arrangements to bring a wide variety of industry partners to the negotiating table.
  • Customize terms and conditions in task orders – or through Blanket Purchase Agreements – to meet specific requirements.
  • Be assured that required FAR terms and conditions are incorporated into the contract.

The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, Military Sealift Command, and the United States Marine Corps compete their service.

  • All task orders are competitively solicited, awarded, and managed using the SeaPort-NxG platform.
